Here it is winter again – the chill is back in the air, well at least some days!  Maybe global warming is upon us?

Just a seasonal reminder to make sure your pole lamps are burning in the evenings – it makes the cluster so warm and inviting when you’re greeted by a row of twinkling lights.  And please consider putting yours on a timer or photocell, so that it lights up even when you’re away?

After an industrious search I’ve discovered our Solaridge-theme house numbers available from an Internet source.  And since I’ve heard so many people talk about difficulty finding them, I’ll volunteer to place an order.  There was actually a period of a few years there when we didn’t know a source, and if the builders threw the old ones away…

Let’s say the order will go out January 31 – so if you’d like new numbers for your house, send me an email – the cost is three or four dollars per character, laser-cut in 3” Helvetica type font from 1/8” white sheet acrylic.  My email is at the bottom of the sheet.

And a winter garden party – pulling English Ivy from the woods near the cluster sign?  It’s an invasive which can really take over a woods if unchecked, and Roundup doesn’t touch it.  How about 1:00pm on New Year’s Day – a good way to start out the new year – and the ivy will show up easily in the winter woods!  Bring a lawn bag and wear a pair of gloves.  We’ll work rain or shine – but not if there’s a covering of snow hiding the ivy : )

Our new trash service has been doing a good job for us, and we’ve done some substantial erosion control and tree maintenance this winter, so things are looking good.  A little more tree work will bring us into spring.

Happy Holidays to All!
