Notice of Annual Meeting
The annual members meeting of Solaridge Cluster Association will be held Thursday, April 22, 1999 at the Reston Regional Library, our customary meeting place. The meeting will convene at 7:30PM. The President will deliver the annual State of the Cluster address, the Treasurer will hold forth on the state of the Solar Treasury, and the Secretary will address us on the happenings at last years meeting. Normal and appropriate cluster business will be transacted. Come on out and see the neighbors!
Do you browse? The Solaridge Website is now up and running, if still thin on content. This will be a good place to find out about current cluster events, read back issues of the newsletter, and find links to Fairfax County and Reston resources. I have lots more planned for the site -- including pictures of the board and links to homepages of cluster members, and past members. Please e-mail me your links, and any other content youd like to contribute.
http://members/bellatlantic.net/~mld/Solar is the address. Note that the tilde ~ is a wavy line you will probably find at the top left or lower right of your keyboard. Also the S in Solar is uppercase! Check it out. And no, I wont put the cluster neighborhood directory up on the website, we promised that list would remain private to cluster members! I knew you were going to askEncroachment problems were a major issue before the Board the past six months, requiring many meetings, much legal consultation and, of course, endless and innumerable e-mails and telephone calls. Your Board members have felt they had second jobs much of the winter. We have an obligation to preserve the common property for the use and enjoyment of all the cluster members -- a fiduciary duty, the speakers at the Reston Association seminars call it. Please locate and respect your property line when you landscape or remodel, I beg you!!
Why the Lunar title? You probably know I always use a Solar theme for the newsletter title. I just couldnt resist the Blue Moon, our second in 1999. The next time we have two in the same year will be in the spring of 2018! Isnt the evening light wonderful in spring? I took my bike out today for a Spring Sprint down to Vienna and then up Hunter Station Road a couple of times. Will I have my legs back before the Snow Valley 150 in May? Stay tuned
